The Amazing Fountain of Vine and Water

Last summer we spent a long weekend in Traben-Trarbach - far west Germany and wine country. We hung out with friends on the patio of a vineyard inn, we biked along the Mosel river (downhill nearly all the way, my favorite) and we enjoyed the beautiful art nouveau architecture of the town.

This fountain entranced the children and they all took turns playing on it. Caroline kept trying to copy the exact expression of the fountain. I think she nearly matched it in this picture.

I have been meaning to comment ever since you started your daily art postings. I am amazed at the variety of media you work in and the quality of the results. I'm sure you might pooh-pooh it but you are posting some great stuff. I look forward to each day's art and I regret that January is almost at a close.

And, of course, congratulations to you and your family on Caroline's soon-to-be baby brother.

Thanks guys! I've enjoyed myself so much this month that I've decided to keep adding illustrations to kolokolo especially since I don't post photos of Caroline here. It won't be as frequent though ;-).

So Ee, I accept the challenge (for fun - and I think I know someone who can print a book or two for me ;-). What Swiss or Czech fairy tale should we pick?
