Back to winter

Today we're back to clouds and chilliness. But I don't mind, the city was cheered up by yesterday and there is a lighter step in people's walk (and talk).

Thanks Poppy! I'm a fan of your pics too - I hope the snow melts soon for you.

Is that ice in the river or just reflections from clouds?

That's just reflections from the clouds. Because of a dam and weirs built in the 50s, the Vltava near Prague doesn't freeze over any more - though we can find ice in the canals and smaller branches still. A shame a bit, as I can imagine skating across the river, that would have been fun!

Waaaaa.....I almost got to Prague once but they wouldn't let me in the country. My daughter had a great week there while I ended up first in Slovakia and then in Amsterdam. Visa thing. Someday.

Visas are a curse for travelers, that's for sure. Glad you got to see Slovakia though, Bratislava is a cute little town and reminds me of Prague when we first arrived.

Thanks for stopping by, and come back soon! (Both Prague and blog)
