Caroline’s favorite song of the moment, as she has decided it should go:
Bruder Jakob,
Bruder Jakob,
Dormez-vous?
Dormez-vous?
Morning bells are ringing,
Morning bells are ringing,
Ding dong ding. Ding dong ding.
The Czech version her babysitters sing:
Bratře Kubo,
Bratře Kubo,
Ještě spíš?
Ještě spíš?
Venku slunce září,
Ty jsi na polštáři,
Vstávej již,
Vstávej již.
Imagine the two versions in a round. That's our house right before nap time.

Do hope you're making sure the German accent is correct ;)
Her German accent sounds pretty Czechish, have to admit. My German accent is probably worse. Send German picture books with their accompanying tapes and we will practice for Christmas! In the meantime, C said her first German sentence today: Ich bin nicht da. Said while pointing at an iceberg full of frolicking german speaking penguins, just for context.
